Tour Details
This 5-day safari is designed to offer a non-stop wildlife adventure while exploring the heart of the Northern Tanzania Circuit. You will experience what Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater (one of the 8th-century world wonders) and Serengeti National Park have to offer.
Tour Detail:
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, our office representative will be there for a briefing about your safari and later depart for a 2-hour' drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, you will take in the scenic views of the grassland plains speckled with ancient baobab trees, traditional Maasai houses, and cattle being herded by the nomadic people.
Tarangire National Park is known for the famous ancient baobab trees, tree-climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch at midday, you will resume your afternoon game drive, then drive to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park. This drive will take you through the Ngorongoro conservation area so you will be able to view the Ngorongoro crater on the way. This drive will take around six hours, depending on the game on the way, because sometimes there is a high concentration of game on the southern plains. You may have a chance to stop at Olduvai Gorge Museum or a Maasai village en route.
You will stop for picnic lunch on the way, then proceed to your campsite with a game drive en route, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Today you will enjoy a morning game drive with sunrise, later have breakfast, followed by a full-day game drive in Central Serengeti National Park. The center of the Serengeti, called Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies, attracting wildlife throughout the year. It is here that you’ll have your best opportunity to spot the “Big Five”: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and the leopard. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attracts giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos. You might also catch a glimpse of cheetahs, hyenas and jackals.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch and an evening drive to the campsite, with game drives en route to arrive for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will take a three-hour' drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area for the Ngorongoro crater descent, followed by a game drive. In midday, you will have your lunch at the base of the crater. Ngorongoro is one of the 8 Wonders of the World. The crater is a very important refuge for a variety of wildlife. Most commonly seen are the big bulls of elephants and the vulnerable species of black rhinos. The crater is also home to big herds of wildebeest and zebras, Thomson and Grant’s gazelles, hippopotamus, African cape buffalos, prides of lions, hyenas, serval cats, golden and black-backed jackals, and close to 400 species of birds.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch and an evening drive on the crater rim. Here is where we will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunches, for morning and afternoon game drive. The Park is situated inside of the Great Rift Valley with a distinctive evergreen forest that provides suitable habitat for olive baboons, monkeys, big families of elephants, tree climbing lions, leopards, and African cape buffalos. Midday, you’ll enjoy lunch in the park before setting out for the open woodland areas, where you’ll hope to set your sights on giraffes, hippos, and flamingos.
Late afternoon, drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro for an overnight, take an international flight for your next destination, or go back home.
